Description
Voltooid Verleden Tijd, black stallion with a blaze (created from frozen semen from 1992!) born on May 1, 2025, by the Holsteiner stallion Cheenook (=Holsteiner Caretino x Romantiker) x performance "voorlopig keur" mare Clarinetty by Upperville x "keur preferent" sport mare Ninetty by Zep.
Thinking out of the box, we used semen from 1992 (hoping for a filly) from the Holsteiner stallion Cheenook (the 1.60m jumping stallion Caretino x Romantiker x Trakehner Herbstglanz x Anglo-Arab Sahib x), who as a 5 and 6-year-old participated as a finalist in the Bundeschampionat and was subsequently competed in dressage at Inter I and PSG level. Two full brothers of Cheenook, Caretino 4 and Chuck Berry 2, jumped at 1.50m and 1.40m level respectively. Well-known descendants of Tannenhofs Cheenook in jumping are, for example, Cyrenaika FRH with Toni Hassmann, winner of the six-year-olds at the Bundeschampionat 2000, and Cindy Crawford, who became reserve champion among the 6-year-olds with Eva Deimel in 2001. She later competed internationally (as Schijndels Cindy) under Piet Raijmakers. Furthermore, Centrio, Calgary, Condor, and Cassiopeia were competed at 1.50m/1.60m level. In GP dressage, his descendants Ciowa, Corvoa, and Corinth competed.
Voltooid Verleden Tijd, abbreviated as VVT, is a half-brother to the beautiful ZZL-dressage horse Job and the NMK champion 2018, the "keur" mare Klarinetty (both by Alexandro P), and Lance (Eyecatcher), who was competed internationally in the six- and seven-year-old classes by the Spaniard Alejandro Oliva Lazaro.
The dam of VVT is the performance mare Clarinetty, a half-sister to the Big Tour horse Aninetty (Elegant) and the M1 mare Taninetty (Negro). She is a niece of the international horse Geronimo (Alexandro P) ridden by Theo Timmermans.
The "preferent keur" sport dressage granddam, Ninetty (Zep), is a half-sister to the Z1-dressage horse Linetty (Elegant) and granddam of the Grand Prix dressage horse Next One (Bismarck) and M2 dressage horse Samba (Lancet). The damline also produced the champion stallion Karolus Magnus (Habanna), the approved stallion Chablis (Upperville), and the Z2 dressage mare Sinetty (Cabochon). Sinetty is also the dam of Subli-Cup finalist Pino/Passage (Blue Hors Farrell) ridden by Mascha van Es.
In short: a very interestingly bred black yearling stallion who appears suitable for all-round sport (with an extra canter) and, given his pedigree and low kinship, is also interesting for rearing for stallion licensing, but would also not look out of place in eventing.
