With Vie d’Or by Dm.Dressage, we are offering a particularly interesting yearling mare with everything we love to see in a future dressage horse: a top temperament, three very good paces, natural balance and a strongly proven damline.

Vie d’Or was born on 1 April 2025 and is a daughter of Pjethro (Kjento x Desperado) out of our broodmare Etanga II (Fürst Romancier x Goethe).

Vie d’Or is a strikingly fine yearling with a very pleasant and willing-to-work temperament. She possesses three strong basic paces, moves with great ease through her body and naturally displays a lot of balance. She has been correctly reared, is easy to handle and combines presence with the kind of sensible temperament that we at Dm.Dressage consider very important.

Her sire Pjethro, a son of Kjento out of a Desperado dam, combines several strong dressage lines and brings a modern type, movement and presence.

However, at least as interesting is the damline of Vie d’Or.

Her dam Etanga II (Fürst Romancier x Goethe) comes from a strong and proven dressage family. Etanga II is a daughter of the elite mare Atanga, a mare who forms an important basis within this family and has produced several interesting sport horses.

This damline has produced, among others, GP-Etanga, who was competed at Grand Prix level, and Katanga II, who also competed successfully in sport. This means we find in this line not only good inspection results, but also actual achievements in dressage sport.

The family surrounding Atanga, Etanga and Katanga shows over several generations that it knows how to pass on dressage quality. That makes Vie d’Or not only interesting as a future sport horse, but also as a mare with clear value for breeding.

Etanga II’s own offspring have meanwhile also convincingly confirmed this.

Her half-sister Beaufort by Dm.Dressage (Glock’s Toto Jr. x Etanga II) placed 3rd as a foal at the Provincial Foal Championship with no less than 88% and subsequently achieved the elite predicate at the National Foal Championship with 83%. She also placed 1st at the practice inspection among yearlings and 2nd among two-year-olds this year, consistently scoring above 80%.

Furthermore, Vie d’Or’s full sister Daiquiri by Dm.Dressage (Pjethro x Etanga II) again confirmed the quality of this damline this year and was similarly awarded elite foal status with a score above 80%.

For us, the fact that various offspring of Etanga II achieve such results makes it very clear that she knows how to pass on her quality extremely consistently. Not only in terms of movement, but also in terms of presence, balance and type.

Vie d’Or by Dm.Dressage thus combines a top temperament, strong paces, an interesting sire and, above all, a damline in which both inspection quality and sport achievements recur over multiple generations.

A very complete yearling for someone looking for a future dressage horse with quality and a strong genetic basis.
