Handsome baroque pinto / Friesian
Description
Although Lola is not registered in the Barock Pinto studbook, her parents are fully known. These are:
Sire is Apollo van Nassau
Dam is Bente
We bought Lola in November 2022. She passed her pre-purchase exam with good X-rays at the time, which included photos of her legs, neck, and back. When we bought Lola, she was still very green and lightly backed. We then trained her further under the guidance of our instructor.
Lola is trained according to the principles of classical dressage and knows ground work and in-hand work. She can also be lunged on single and double lunging lines. Under saddle, Lola is basically trained up to about B level by a level rider. Lola has never been shown because the rider's interests did not lie there. Lola certainly has the capacity to move up with a capable rider, but is currently trained at a very basic level. In our opinion, Lola enjoys showjumping and cross-country and gets very enthusiastic about it. Lola has not been competed in this either. Lola could certainly develop further in this. Lola is very suitable for hacking out alone or with others. She is traffic-proof and also loves swimming in water. Lola is very well-behaved, but alert and awake. We do not find her suitable for an insecure rider. Lola is very easy to load on the horse trailer and goes along in the trailer several times a week when we go to the woods or riding arena.
Lola is a sweet horse in handling, but you have to get to know her. Lola lives outside with us 24/7 in a herd, which consists of all kinds of different breeds and ages. From mothers with foals to yearlings and seniors. When Lola gets her food, she prefers to be alone. She prefers not to let others eat her feed and is clear about that. Lola has unlimited unpackaged hay and can also be on pasture. Lola has had some itching on her body from midges in the past, but she has not had this in the last two years.
Lola goes to the farrier every 8 weeks, and her vaccinations and deworming are also kept up to date. Lola has also been treated by an osteopath in the past.
Lola will not just go to any new home; we would like to know where she ends up because she is dear to us.
Lola's saddle and bridle can also be purchased.
