In the pedigree of Winston, two proven sport lines are brought together. Sire Toledo VDL makes a great impression with his own qualities and is bred out of a half-sister of the Grand Prix sport and breeding stallion Harley VDL. On the dam's side, this foal comes from the Nuberta line, which flourished at Stal Roelofs. Granddam Zbuberth has a well-known half-sister in the Grand Prix showjumper Balaboeska DDH (s. Germus R), with whom Jeroen Dubbeldam achieved placings at the highest level. She is also a half-sister of the 1.50m-placed M.Buberth 33 (s. Prince Paradiso) ridden by Henry Turrell. Further coming from this direct damline are 1.50/1.60m horses such as Puissance (s. Cavalier), Titanic (s. Cavalier) and the Grand Prix stallion Rubert R (s. Mermus R).
