Picasso (van Gogh x Riverman)

Picasso is a young gelding with potential and an incredibly sweet character. On the ground he is friendly, affectionate and loves attention and cuddles. He is not a hot horse. X-rayed and clinically approved in 2024. Documentation and photos available. Re-examination is possible, but costs are for the buyer.

Under the saddle Picasso is a horse who performs best with a clear, consistent and experienced rider. He needs someone who takes the lead and offers him confidence and guidance.
Picasso is currently working on the following in training at home:
• leg-yielding
• shoulder-in/traver
• rein-back
• beginning turns on the forehand/haunches
• collection
• he is green-changing

He loves going out into the woods. Out of enthusiasm he can sometimes buck there. In traffic he is reasonably well-behaved, but heavy traffic such as tractors he still finds exciting.
Practically speaking Picasso is also easy to handle. He is well-behaved at the farrier, dentist and trailers nicely. He is easy to load alone and walks right on. When the trailer is stationary, for example at a show, he can become impatient and starts pawing.

Picasso is definitely a horse with potential, but not a horse that can be described as 'suitable for everyone'. If a rider doesn't put him to work, he will slack off. When he is well on the leg, he is a great horse to work with. A clear, experienced rider who wants to train him further and grow with him in the sport is the best match!

For the right person he can become an incredibly great partner. For a 5* home the price is negotiable
