Versatile Friesian gelding

Sweet and versatile Friesian gelding

Looking for a sweet, reliable and versatile Friesian? Then this handsome 16-year-old gelding, Hidde, might be just what you are looking for!

Hidde is approx. 1.68 m tall and has a nice, appealing look (lots of mane!). His pedigree is Bente 412 × Lammert 260.

Hidde is a sweet, honest and people-oriented horse. He loves attention and cuddles and always does his best. A horse with a fine and reliable character, who loves to work for you. I take weekly dressage lessons with him (in which he always puts his best foot forward and shows improvements every week) and I regularly go on hacks (also longer than 2 hours).

Under the saddle he is trained in dressage to L level and currently competes at B dressage with win points. We recently started competing, so there is certainly room to grow further in this.

He is also wonderfully versatile. For example, you can hack out with him alone and in a group and he is traffic-safe. He will always stay with you and will not do anything silly. He is also broken to drive (he regularly drove in harness until 2024, also at events).

In handling he is pleasant and easy. In the field/paddock he stands quietly in the herd. His teeth are checked annually, the saddler comes 1-2 times a year and he is treated 1-2 times a year by a physiotherapist. He is barefoot and has no sweet itch or other complaints.

In 2021 he passed a clinical and radiological inspection and was found acceptable. Inspection at buyer's expense.

Including saddle and bridle. Price is negotiable, he only goes to a 5-star home!
