✨ Handsome 7-year-old eventer/showjumper ✨
It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to look for a new home for my sweet Bailey. This is a decision that is by no means easy for me; Bailey is an incredibly sweet and affectionate horse to whom I have grown very attached.
Bailey is a magnificent 7-year-old chestnut gelding measuring approx. 1.70 m with great presence and a fine sport pedigree: O'Bailey van het Brouwershof (Darco) × Calvaro Z × Quidam de Revel.
He has experience in both showjumping and eventing and is familiar with competitions. His canter is very pleasant and he changes leads easily. In addition, he is familiar with hacks, the horse trailer / horse lorry, farrier, dentist, and physio. Bailey has good hooves and correct conformation.
In handling, Bailey is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He enjoys attention immensely and is also social with other horses. Under saddle, he is a pleasure to ride and certainly has the qualities to go further in the sport. Bailey is a sensitive and sharp horse and therefore does best with a calm, experienced, and confident rider who can give him confidence.
I have to be honest with myself and Bailey about this: unfortunately, we are not the right match. His sharpness sometimes makes me insecure, and I notice that my insecurity subsequently does not help him. He requires more self-confidence and experience from his rider than I can offer him.
Precisely because I am so fond of him, I wish him a rider who does have that self-confidence and can progress with him in the sport. With the right person, there is a tremendous amount of enjoyment to be had from him.
Bailey passed a clinical and radiological inspection for sport last year.
Above all, I am looking for a fine and permanent home for him where he will receive just as much love and attention as he does with me.
A good match is more important to me than a quick sale.
